COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOL
We acknowledge the importance of keeping everyone safe while singing. Our COVID Safety Committee has developed the following protocol to guide us through these challenging times. Feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Our protocol includes active risk reduction measures to enable the chorus to rehearse and perform with maximum participation. We:
-
Require up-to-date vaccinations
-
Monitor local conditions, using data from official public health resources
-
Follow expert public health guidance for choral activity, including from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Choral Directors Association
-
Reduce risks by using "Swiss cheese" combinations of measures (vaccinations, masking, testing, distancing, time limits, room size, and/or ventilation)
-
Use safety calculators to adapt general guidance to CAC activities and local conditions (e.g., McCovidRisk and the Indoor Safety Calculator)
-
Update safety plans for risk reduction measures (drawing on local condition data, guidance, and calculators) at least three days before an in-person event
-
Adjust safety measures as guidance and conditions change
-
Communicate with chorus leaders and members, sharing the protocol and advance information about safety plans for each in-person event
